From the PTL…
I cannot believe that the Christmas holidays are just around the corner. We’ve had such a busy fall season that the time has literally flown by. The PTL would like to wish a sincere thank you to all who helped volunteer for and/or supported our successful pie fundraiser, the scholastic book fair and the Purdy’s chocolate campaign. Our fabulous school could not have done it without your support, and we appreciate that. A special mention must go out to the Roux family, who donated funds to help pay for the new trees which are now planted on the playground.
Every year, the PTL plans a fundraising gala to aid us in subsidizing our fantastic school programs. This year, the “Roaring Twenties” gala will be held in the school facility on Saturday, January 28th at 7pm. Tickets will be available in January and we hope you can all make it. This, like our pie fundraiser, is one of the bigger fundraisers of the year and also one of the most exciting. We have a popular jazz band (The Anna Jacyszyn Trio) booked for the evening along with a surprise DJ for all of the dancers out there. Don’t forget the delicious food provided by a superb caterer and desserts by our own Sascha Coric. More details will follow. If you would like to help out on the gala committee, please send me a brief email with how you would like to be involved. (sandra.swart@shaw.ca)
I hope you all have a blessed and relaxing Christmas with your families and friends. See you next year!!
